What is Enid's Approach to Counselling

How will Enid work with me?

 

Enid has experience providing counselling and therapy using a range of approaches. Enid draws on extensive resources, tools and strategies when working with you. Enid sees the counselling process as teamwork, working towards change and solutions in partnership with you.
 
As Enid says:
"The way I picture my counselling is you and I climbing mountains on different sides of a deep valley. So from my perspective I can see you, your climb and your mountain paths differently from how you see them. Sharing that big picture with you helps you climb and move forward with more options and ease."
 
Enid is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Trauma Treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). So Enid finds the approach that best fits with a client and their issues.
